If you are a freelancer, a small business owner or entrepreneur, I don’t mind, it applies to you all. I’m sure you’ve asked yourself the question,
‘What is it going to take for me to succeed in business’? and hopefully, you even ask yourself the question ‘What is it going to take for me to fail’? as well. But we’re so focused on all these strategies in business and what it takes to fail and succeed that we’re missing the point.
What we are missing really is that what we are doing every day with our time is the difference between success and failure. What we decide to do with our time, the strategies that you use, how much you get done in the day, how much you don’t do all, of these factors are impacting your success more than you know.
So, what does this mean? I really invite you to start, not only looking at what are the strategies and tools that are going to get you there, but in actually really getting the most out of your time as an entrepreneur, ask yourself ‘Am I investing my time in the right places’?
Let’s say you’ve got one goal, I mean, whatever the goal is, but you’ve got one goal, I’m assuming that there are probably a few different ways for you to achieve that goal. What happens is that we will just jump on the first strategy we come up with and drive it home from there. In fact, there are probably a million different ways, which could be such a more effective way.
So if you find yourself asking the question a lot about success and the difference, stop and actually look at how you are managing your time, how are you investing your time in your business and are you getting a return? Because that’s going to give you a much higher chance of success than looking in any other area.
