I`m sure you have guessed it, time! These are the 3 qualities that make time so special and unique. If you really grasp these qualities, it should influence your perspective on how precious and important it really is and hopefully be the impetus you need to commit to improve your time management.
1. Time is essential
You need time to work, to have fun and be with the people you love. Whatever it is that you want to do, you need time to do it, time is essential. It is a crucial and indispensable resource that you need to do and achieve what you want. If you have time in your life to do the things that you want to, you will experience a completely different quality of life than that of someone who never has time to do what they want!
2. Time is inelastic
You only have 24 hours in the day and it is fixed. You are not able to hire or rent or even buy time, no matter how much money you have. Once the day is over, it is over. You might think that what you need is more time but often what is needed is to better manage your time.
We all have 24 hours in the day, you, me, the President; but how you manage your time is what is going to make the key difference between how much you achieve in a day or not.
3. Time is irreplaceable
There will never be another today, once today has gone, it has gone, you will never be able to get it back, no matter what you do, time is irreplaceable. You may think that you have all the time in the world to do the things that you want to, you might probably postpone taking action today on the things that will actually bring you what you want.
Remember, once it is gone, it is gone. How many times do you say to yourself; ¨ tomorrow I will start to improve or tomorrow is another day, I’ll just do it then?¨ Every time you say that, you are throwing away an opportunity to get more done, to improve your life more and to achieve what you really want.
On the contrary, there are those who feel like they are ‘running out of time’ and this causes everything from anxiety to stress to premature heart attacks. There needs to be that balance between taking advantage of the time you have now and not having your mind live in the future worried that you are running out of time.
In the middle is the healthy balance where you optimize the time you have and you live in the present without constantly worrying about the future.
Those who make the most of their time and manage their time efficiently have a really clear understanding of these qualities and they understand that if you master your time, you master your results and life!
To Your success!
